Now I really hate the riddles...

4 years ago at 11:39 pm
Well, I have been here about 3 weeks and figured it was about time to put something in my blog. I finished all the lessons and quizzes today, but the IQ test is still giving me fits. I have lost count of the # of attempts, but the best I have managed is 6/10. I finished all of the riddles, but now my wife is working on them. She is having great difficulty with them, but enjoying working on figuring them out. I just wish she would quit all the muttering and grumbling. She stays up late workig on them and gets up early to work on them.. Driving me crazy and I don't have far to go.

My wife has been here about a week or so. She mainly plays for fun on Pokerstars on the play money 1 table SnG's low buy-in. Gotten pretty good at playing them.

I play mainly for fun, but have lost more than I would care to admit in the past due to lading and re-loading. Since coming to this site, I still play for fun, but my play is a lot better as I have learned so much. I had no clue of pot-odds, hand odds, position, or bankroll management. I did know how many outs I had and handrank and thought I was a good player and couldn't understand why I was going broke all the time.

Well, since becoming a PS member, I have won a little money playing free-rolls which I am going to use to build up a bank roll. Won $5 on Carbon, which I blew threw by trying to risk it all to double up quick.. Then about a week ago I won $2.50 on Walker that I have about doubled by playing min buy-in micro-limits NL multi-tables. As I don't play a lot (maybe 1 hr a day) at cash games, this is taking a while, but I am enjoying it and not losing all my cash either. I also am still trying to do a free-roll or 2 a day. Today, it was one on Carbon, and one on full tilt. No luck, but got to about 70th place both times.

Currently I am waiting for a transaction to appear on my bank account to verify my ewalletexpress account. Not planning on using that to fund a bankroll per se, but to get enough cash to buy into the small dollar Crew tournaments. I am thinking of bringing in $50 just for that, and if I lose it all, that will probably be it. If I earn some cash that way, I will just use it for buying into other PS tourneys.

The main difficulty I have had is keeping my play styles seperated. I have learned a lot of good things about how to be a good poker player, which has definetly helped me in the tourneys. And I have learned a lot of good pointers for multi-tabling min buy-in micro-limits. Didn't take long to learn those weren't interchangable.

Anyway, that's basically where I am right now.

See you at the tables.

I am also playing not regalarly, especially in summertime. Was pure tournament player previously, but since June tried to mix with cash games. Conclusion - cash games fit better if you play regularly ~2 sessions a day. GL w ur BR!
