      Well said Judy!

Oh and report it to Support too with screen shots. Most messages are deleted by us if they break the rules, so to say we dont is a little wrong. Hence why we the Mods have gotten so much stick lately.

Sorry Russ, but i think you missed the point here with,

"If you think all blogs posted should be open for all pokerspace members to be allowed to post on it, then shouldn't all pokerspace groups be open as well?"

The answer simply is No! They are totally different. As already mentioned, if you post a blog looking for feedback or interaction, then your comments should be open, however, you may create a group with the intention of it being private and thus close it to the public. That is a massive difference to this argument and in no way a fair reflection or argument.

And for the record, Mods dont delete blogs if comments on them get out of control, as already pointed out, we take action against those breaking the rules and close the comments on the blog to control the situation. If it quietens down i have in the past even opened it back up.

The restricting of chat comments on ones blog to those only in ones buddy list is no different than those who choose to start pokerspace groups and restrict it to all pokerspace by making said group a private group here at pokerspace. You are choosing not to interact with certain pokerspace members for what every reason(s) you have and popkerspace allows that options on personal blogs as well as pokerspace groups.

If you think all blogs posted should be open for all pokerspace members to be allowed to post on it, then shouldn't all pokerspace groups be open as well? Only one person be it on a blog or a pokerspace group decides who can post or who can join. If the pokerspace option to restrict comments or membership on a blog or group is too much of a hassle, maybe pokerspace should think about modifying the options they have on the site for its members.

I don't agree with that either. If pokerspace feels that trolling is happening then they should delete the troll comments not the blog. I feel like people just take way to much personally.

Yes but in some cases you spend all day watching your blog and deleting comment after comment from those who choose to abuse the T&C. There have also been several cases where a percfectly nice blog was posted by a member(s) only to have two people start commenting on it and it turns into an all out drama war and the blog would get removed by pokerspace when it had nothing to do with the two or more members who decided to use that particualr blog to carry out their lilttle spat...

You also have the option to delete individual comments if you are the writer of the blog. Again though that is not productive in my view but the option is there.

I disagree Gra1980, pokerspace gave the option to all it's members in the privacy options and they must of had a good reason to put it there in the first place. You of all people should know that option for pokerspace members will stop a lot of blogs from becoming a drama pot.

I for one use the block option because it seems a few too many members decide to break the pokerspace T&C rules and wery little is done about it seems in too many cases, sometimes a chat blocked is issued, but upon return they resort to the same posting habits, and reporting them in some cases results in no action at all by pokerspace.

As defualt, the settings are open Judy. But some may have changed them along time ago and maybe forgotten about them, so i agree if you want to ammend this then a very nice reminder Judy!

I also agree, if you write a blog on an open blog section then you must be open to comments in return. it's what the blog section is there for, just stay within ToC as mentioned!

One last note on this... Most members are not aware of how to access settings and what is available to them in the settings section. Very often they are not even aware of how the settings are set up. Good time to check on your setting now and maybe tweak them and think about changing some to be more open ;)

Anyone who puts up a blog should have it open for ALL to comment. No matter if the author likes the comments or not. As long as the comments comply with the site's TOS they should be allowed.
Personally I do not have an A list and B list of people. I am not afraid to put my thoughts out nor to receive thoughts from others back.
In the case where I cannot comment on a blog and I would like to add a comment I will PM that person.
Come on people open up and share and lets others share as well. These restrict lists are the exact thing that keeps us divided.
