Getting off my lazy a55
At the end of last year I quit my job. I was unhappy and had been there for many years. I thought I would have no problem finding a new position. I was wrong. Almost a year of looking and about 25 interviews, 4 or 5 short lists I have finally been offered a position today for a one year contract that starts tomorrow as a Design Studio Manager.
This will be a good opportunity for me to get some practical web project management experience that I have been lacking and build some confidence back that had been shot over the last few years. I also was very clear about my work hours this time, 9-5 :)
After the year is up I will be back looking for a job as it is a maternity fill, but I think it will be a great experience for me, will defo cut out a lot of my poker time.
Being off has changed me a lot and I hope to get back into some sort of routine. More so with working out. That is the hardest part about being home. You think you are going to have more time, but when u wake up at 2... :) not so much.

I have had to keep to some sort of routine, its one of the few things that helps keep me sane!
You never know, sometimes, maternity can turn into something different than originally planned, it did with my daughter in law.
