This a very good article but I grew up in the early 70's and I can tell you for a fact that they did use pesticides on marijuana fields to keeps the fields of plants safe from insects and other things that would hinder the plants growth and they still are using it today. To me weed has always been a just a flower but remember companies that are growing it will do whatever it takes to preseve their crop this is just the nature of money as it iis a multi million dollar business for some and I'm not speaking of the average home grower. In the 70's weed was much different then todays weed strenght wise their was Panama Red, Acupulco Gold, Columbian, Mexican, and let's not forget those good ole Thai Sticks and I know for a fact I smoke weed that had been sprayed with pesticides as it was just common practice but I didn't care nor care to think about it. This is one reason marijuana needs to be legalized so the government can control what is being used to grow weed such as avid floramite. Even with all this i still smoke but from smoking cigs, hash, and weed for many years I have COPD and Emphysema aging process sucks.

they need to leagalize it----the revenue on taxes could pay for all the whodababydaddy's and entitlements us taxpayers have to pay---im 100% for legalization
