so those who go to the track also must wonder what is the hold up with slots. The state is close to a billion in the red on the budget and yet they still are fighting it. purse money and tax revenue would increase. Poker players might not get hit with some crazy "every hand " tax . any thoughts.

Yes, it is the republicans that are holding it up, of course, but Strickland needs to buck up and do it anyway. They need to stop the politics and realize that they are profoundly affecting the lives of REAL people. They cannot keep cutting... no one will have a job. they need to find more ways to generate revenue... slots and then casinos. I say...get off your high (no pun intended) horses and start putting money back into Ohio and stop putting all of Ohios money in Indiana, West Virginia and Michigan... Leaves a bad taste in my mouth

i agree. living in Toledo and knowing that buses leave here everyday with money needed in this community is horrible.
