new member from canada here, trying to get me some pokerspace points, not sure what they are for yet but gonna try gettin me some.

First of all, welcome to the asylum, I am sure you will fit right on in, lol.

Ps points are the currency around here. You can use them to buy into games, exchange them for cash on various sites, buy software, PS attire [hoodies, polo shirts etc etc] buy books, you can use them to buy just about anything once you have enough of them.

You can earn points by playing the PS freeroll games, entering PSpoints buy in games where the prizes are PS points. There are also cash games that include PS points in the payout. You can earn points by blogging, posting comments and starting threads, but they are a one off payment. The poker school is the place to start really and as you complete each module you are awarded PS points.

Have a really good look around the place. Read as much as you can when you can and in no time, it will seem like you have been here forever. Dont forget, every single one of us here were at the same point as you are now. Patience is required, things dont happen overnight here, but they happen. So hang in there, get to find your way around, get to know a few members and enjoy yourself.

Welcome and good luck. You might want to pose your question to a moderator about the points and how they can be used. I know they can be used in games, but still fairly new to using them myself.
