Since we did have the first three-way tie (there was a previous tie for 2nd place where the PS Points got split equally), the tiebreaker rule has been deemed as not detailed enough. Since we cannot adjust the rule for June 2012 as this would be unfair to all Crews involved, the new rules will come into effect as of July 2012.

Old rule until June 2012:

Tiebreaker at the end of a Crew Cup Points Battle:

If two or more Crews end up with the same score at the end of monthly Crew Battle, the PS Points prize will be split equally.

New rule as of July 2012:

Tiebreaker at the end of a Crew Cup Points Battle:

If two or more Crews end up with the same score at the end of a monthly Crew Battle, the final position in the ranking will be determined based on the results of each Crew throughout the month, valued from the best to the worst position in each tournament.

Example:

Crew A finishes in 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th place

Crew B finishes in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 8th place

= Crew B is placed higher

In the unlikely event that two or more Crews still have the same results within the monthly competition, the final position will be determined through the lowest combined total score for the month.

Example:

Crew A: 14 + 22 + 27 + 44 = 107

Crew B: 12 + 26 + 31 + 40 = 109

= Crew A is placed higher

If two or more Crews still tie after the second denominator, the best single Crew performance counts to determine the final position. In the above example, this would be Crew B with a single score of 12.

Each Crew Captain is responsible to inform his / her Crew members about this rule change, which we believe is the most detailed and fair solution to determine the best Crew in each monthly Points Battle on Pokerspace based on the performance at the tables.
