Well.. I thought I had the right search word.. but when things just didn't add up, I back traced and found I didn't. Found another word in which I was able to get a name.. But could not get a second name or the ????? word. Let alone two objects in the riddle were not used yet. Still grasping here too.. but I know I got the first three steps (or what I consider steps) completed.. |

i have tried using only the names from step 1, names and categories from step 1 (winners), names and categories from step 1 (all) and come up with a big ZONK for my search. maybe names and categories from step 1 (losers) might be the way to go |

In most (if not all) of OD's riddles you have to find the code/alphabet (52 letters) which matches all 52 cards. Keep that in mind when you work on step 2. |

Well, you're all sort of going in the right direction and schubereater makes a very nice point above for sure! But none of you really has hit the nail on the head....yet....although, definately getting quite close! tethys, you're beating at the door and I do think you have found something, but, I feel you need to broaden your horizens and probe further. There is more than one twist in this riddle, so to arrive at the answer, I would suggest that you perhaps try some things that shouldn't logically be possible! There is not any guess work involved in this riddle (once you have the 10 names at the start). Like I said, EVERYTHING in this riddle has AT LEAST one use, sometimes more than one use! The arrows only have one direct meaning, and perhaps a vague indirect meaning (though i wouldn't worry about this)! Arrows and compasses, are there to aid direction! Oh yeah, and for the record, the ????? represents 5 words, not five letters as suggested. Good luck guys, I'll check back later. |
