So, this sudoku is proving to be nearly impossible, and I consider myself pretty good at them.

If in the end the sudoku is irrelevant I'm going to be really frustrated.

I solved it, now I need to know how to read it and which way to convert it!

Im good at Soduku too and have hit a wall on this one.

I just need to know what to do with the numbers I got!

I converted them into letters and came up with dribble.

That changes every thing, I think that was hint enough. : )

To be fair, I don't want to give out huge hints to ruin roccos riddle.

All I will say right now is pay attention to the change he made to the riddle and then try to figure out why that change is important. That's step two of this thing and then you're alomst done.
