LSO Cookies
LSO [Local Shared Object] have been around for a couple of years now. They allow a Super cookie to be placed on your hard drive that allows any site using Flash features to store and retrieve infomation from your system.
If you use Firefox, you get a tool/add on called Better Privacy that deals with these cookies and all other cookies. You can get this add on @

If you use a different browser, there is also action that you can take to prevent these cookies being left on your system. Just use this link and follow the instructions/links within.

I shall look for other solutions for other browsers and if I find any I shall add those links as well.

Things to do ONCE EVERY WEEK!!!!!
Every week, at some time your not busy on your computer [lazin on a Saturday afternoon watching a movie-perfect time for this] please do the following routinly:
Empty your trash bin, remove all internet temp files [cookies can be saved if you wish, I save mine, minus the ones the mal-ware programs pick up], and delete any temp folder files.
Update your virus scanner, do a FULL SYSTEM scan, follow recommendations of scan and reboot
Update your mal-ware, trojans programs [Spy-bot, Ad-Aware, etc.], do a FULL SYSTEM scan, follow recommendations, reboot, then follow the cycle for the next program. NOTE: Do NOT run two or more of these type of programs at the same time. One program will think the other one is a trojan. Pick one program, update it, scan, fix, THEN start the cycle with #2 or #3. You are much safer if you have 2 or more of these programs because of the different engine types, each picks up things others don't, therefore you cover you bases more.
Once a month run a Check Disk on all your hard drives and once all hard drives are complete, defragment them. Once the defrag is complete, reboot the computer.
