  A8os never should call a raise pre flop unless your short stacked then you go all in to see if he really wants to go. Or just fold cuz you can lose to even an umipressive A9.

  That river bet was a fail. I *might* call with A8 there preflop if I think I can outplay my opponents...but why would you bet that river? There's no good outcome there if you bet instead of checking...
