Try for a second to think about all the things you can do with money. Tough to narrow it down, isn't it? The same goes PS Points. Luckily, I'm here to let you know about everything you can do with PS Points, from the obvious like daily tournament entry buy-in to the obscure like last longer bets and poker room bankroll add-ons.
Pokerspace Tournaments
Pokerspace is proud to offer a very diverse number of exclusive poker tournaments with many of them requiring PS Points. PS Points have an active part in many Pokerspace tournaments, even freerolls! Let's start with regular PS Point buy-in tournaments. Every week we hold several PS Point buy-in tournaments that start as low as 50 points or as high as 500. Most of these are regular Texas Hold'em, but we do offer a few Omaha games to make things interesting. The 200-500 point buy-ins see the winner being awarded thousands of points, making these particular tournaments very valuable, but the low buy-in games are also good to increase your PS Points bankroll.
Now for the good stuff, freerolls! A freeroll by nature means that they are free, but a select few of Pokerspace's member's only freerolls require a small PS Point buy-in. This protects the participants against password thieves from crashing the event and making it very difficult for the Pokerspace member to make it to the cash. The point buy-ins are always small and more importantly keeps the field low to give every player a better chance of winning, which is a constant struggle in any freeroll. Best of all the PS Point buy-in adds another prize pool to the mix. Given the average number of players for a $100 member's only freeroll a Pokerspace member can win $26 and the top three usually take home hundreds of PS Points each. Sounds pretty nice to be reward twice for something called a freeroll.
An added feature to Pokerspace tournaments are Last Longer Bets. These best are placed using PS Points and are a great way to add an edge to every tournament. You can set or join into these bets as long as you have the points, and believe me they can become very lucrative if enough people enter them. Please be advised that only Pokerspace members with a full PS reputation ball can create LLB's. It's also a good way of spicing up regular Pokerspace tournaments. They keep the action hot!
Pokerspace Promotions
Besides our exclusive tournaments and welcoming community people come back to Pokerspace because of our special promotions like the Pokerspace Online Championships (PSOC) and Crew Cup. For PSOC events Pokerspace holds two types of qualifier tournaments, one for cash buy-in and another for PS Point buy-ins. Players can also buy into the PSOC event finals, but the price is hefty when it comes to PS Points. The best part about the PSOC promotion is that your PS Point buy-ins opens you up to potentially thousands of dollars in prize money.
If you've ever wanted to turn online poker into a team game, Pokerspace's Crew Cup is the best way to play. A crew is made up of 3 or more players and compete for amazing prizes when everything is all said and done. Does a trip to Las Vegas or a Mexican Riviera Cruise sound pretty nice? There are two Crew Cup leagues, a North American and European league. Crews can buy into these leagues for 3000 PS Points each or the top 3 crews in the practice league for a given month will win a free buy-in into the North American or European leagues the following month. Each crew can buy into both leagues to give themselves a better chance of getting to the finals. When it comes to the Crew Cup PS Points reign supreme and are cherished by all.
Every month Pokerspace also holds a series of Indy League events that run concurrently with our weekly tournament schedule. There are select freerolls, cash buy-in, and PS Point buy-in tournaments to play in. After each tournament players are given a certain number of points based upon where they placed in the tournament. After the month is over the top three players earn themselves an extra prize. The prizes vary from league to league, but can either be a chunk of PS Points, tournament coupons, or even cash to use on that particular poker room. Naturally, there is a PS Points Buy-in League for certain points buy-in tournaments. These are an excellent way to use your points as that potential of winning is high if you play every week.
PS Points Store
Are you looking for that important poker strategy guide or a little extra cash added to your favorite poker room? Well look no further than the PS Points Store. At the Pokerspace PS Points Store members will find a full selection of items that can be purchased. Let's start with the obvious like Pokerspace gear and strategy books. You can even find trips and packages to the World Series of Poker! Many Pokerspace members love saving up a portion of their points in order to buy Poker Tracker 3, to help sharpen their online game and maximize winnings. For a couple of big point tournaments wins you can be on your way to improving your game.
Pokerspace even members go out on the internet and Find What You Want. All you have to do is go out pick an item, whether it be from Best Buy, Amazon, or even a plane ticket and purchase it with your PS Points. Members are only limited by their ability to find the item they most desire. There is one small restriction for using the Find What You Want option in the Points Store. The purchase must be a minimum of $100 USD or the equivalent of 15,000 PS Points. There is an easy to follow PS Point conversion tool to show members how many PS Points are required to make the desired purchase once the price has been established.
